What Scratch edits in ClickUp
- Task titles and descriptions
- Text custom fields on tasks
How it works
Scratch pulls a ClickUp List into local files, one file per task. Your AI rewrites the prose — task titles and descriptions, plus free-text custom fields. Statuses, priorities, assignees, tags, watchers, due dates, and subtask relationships stay read-only, and formula, rollup, and progress custom fields pass through untouched. Your workspace Users and Docs come down as read-only reference. Validators flag length overruns and any "never touch" field you name, right on the diff. You approve every change in Scratch. ClickUp gets the edits back through its API, one task at a time.
Connect with a personal API token. Custom fields round-trip by their definition, so renaming one in ClickUp does not scramble your edits. Best for cleaning up a backlog — standardizing task titles and tightening descriptions across a whole list.
