The Claude Code + Scratch flow

  1. Pull your records into Scratch.
  2. cd into the Scratch project folder and run claude.
  3. Hand Claude Code a prompt, or one of the skills below.
  4. Claude Code edits files in place across the catalog. Scratch surfaces every change for review.
  5. Review per record. Approve. Publish.

Why Claude Code is the scale tool

The desktop app is great for a few hundred records. Claude Code is what you reach for when there are thousands, when you want iterative passes, or when you want validators in the loop. The terminal interface keeps the agent fast, scriptable, and quiet. No UI between you and the work.

Skills are reusable prompts you can drop into any Claude Code session. The ones below work end-to-end against real Scratch folders. Each one is a starting point; edit it for your tone, your tags, your length caps.

The Scratch desktop app stays the publish gate. Claude Code's edits land as file changes; nothing reaches your CMS until you say yes, per record.

Bring your own Claude

Scratch holds no Claude credentials and runs no model. You sign into Claude Code the way you already do. The shape (pull, edit, diff, ship) survives whichever Claude model you're on this quarter.

Make the agent define done before it starts.

/skills/done-when/

A short prompt. Forces your AI to commit to a concrete "done when" before doing any work, then check itself against it. Works on any task, any platform.

Use Claude Code to edit your connected apps

Scratch connects Claude Code to the platforms your content lives in. Pull a folder, let Claude Code edit the files, review every diff, and publish only what you approve.

See it run on your own content.

Curtis runs these calls himself. Thirty minutes, no pitch, no slides. He connects your platforms live and shows you your content as an editable, reviewable diff. Bring anything sticky: a refresh, a migration, or a rebrand.
